GREETINGS IN CHRIST!
Our 12th KFC Global Day of Service (GDS) was launched on the 25th September, 2021 with the theme: KFC Family Heroes – “Witnessing God’s LOVE”
Colossians 3:12 – “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience…”
This year’s GDS calls on every CFC family to choose a family to journey with until September 2022, with whom and for whom they will do acts of love and service. They must choose a family that they can build relationships with, and help even in little ways. Every 12th of the month, the CFC Couples for Christ Wellington Facebook Page and CFC Wellington will release poster/video of participating families’ suggested activities.
12th Global Day of Service General Guidelines
- Each participating family should discern for another family that they will be journeying with for the next 12 months. The recipient family could be any family of their choosing. The family can either be a CFC or non-community member, a neighbour or a family relative that the family has felt being led to during their prayer time.
- Every month, there will be an activity for the families to do with their recipient family. These activities are based on the Four (4) KFC Heroes Lifestyle. The CFC Couples For Christ Wellington Facebook Page and CFC Wellington website will post the activity every 12th of the month.
- The Twelve (12) months activities are based on the Four (4) KFC Heroes Lifestyle, which are the following:
- Stewards of God’s Gift.
- Strong in mind, body, and spirit.
- Good and effective media.
- Care for the environment.
- The GDS shall be conducted to be more relevant to the CFC Couples For Christ Wellington local community (i.e., Wellington parishes and communities) and to maximise our reach for evangelization.
We encourage all families who will participate on our 12th Global Day of Service to register. Please contact our YFC Coordinators for details.
Specific Guidelines for 25 September 2021
- On the morning of September 25, the participating family will write a Letter of Invitation for the recipient family. This letter is to invite the family to a year-long journey of goodness. The kids of the participating family could write and design the letter. They can make their own design in cardboard or bond paper using their colouring materials and follow the template attached.
- The family will send the letter to the recipient family online.
- On the evening of September 25, the CFC Kids for Christ Facebook Page will go live to gather and celebrate the beginning of a year of being good and doing good.

Our main objective is for all CFC Wellington families to be involved and participate in this year’s 12th KFC Global Day of Service (GDS). However, as this pandemic ravages on, please follow advisories at https://covid19.govt.nz/alert-levels-and-updates/.
Jesus is calling us to be good and do good. We can do this by being a blessing to other families. Thank you. God bless you all.
In Christ,
